In the field of acting, he has performed in many plays including an Off-Broadway Production of Fame that was shortly followed by a break in the 1999 BBC film  “NAVY”. His first major music break came in 1999 when Jalen was invited to perform on stage with Enrique Iglesias. Starting in 2003 and concluding in 2009, he traveled across Europe with his band, a Dominican-inspired fusion of Bachata/rock/hip hop, Toke D Keda (aka Toque D Keda). For nearly 10 years the group traveled from clubs to stadiums across Asia, Europe, the Americas and even down under, crowds have enjoyed his music and packed his concert. In 2005, Jalen earned enough money to buy his own recording studio equipment which allowed him to follow his long awaited dream of becoming a full time music producer, and help others pursue their dreams at the same time. Jalen went on to be recognized as a superb songwriter and producer of his music as well as the internationally famed Latin group, and is credited with pioneering and implementing Hip Hop into the Bachata genre along with his mentor in that genre Roy Tavare. Toke D Keda went on to be voted to Latin People Magazines’s 50 most beautiful people, sold millions of records & performed in 10 World Tours.

Jalen has had multiple credited roles on TV shows such as Burn Notice and made his Hollywood debut on David Rodriguez 2005 film “PUSH” along with Chazz Palminteri and Michael Rappaport.
